VICEROYZ (vai•sroiz) is an indie pop band from Sarawak, Malaysia. Originally named “Piring Seni," the band formed in early 2018 and changed their name to “VICEROYZ” in 2019. The Samarahan/Kuching quintet — Nick (vocals/guitar), Mike (guitar), Steve (bass), Denil (keyboard), and Chris (drums) — chose their name as a reference to an American blend cigarette, Viceroy, with an added "Z," symbolising unconventional Gen-Z styles and definitions.
