Phraseology

Born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, Phraseology found his love of music in the guitar stylings of B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and Dickey Betts. As an obsessive lyricist however, he gravitated towards Hip-Hop, finding the expressive capacities and lyrical density of the MC both enchanting and liberating. Inspired by artists like Blue Scholars, Common, Zion I and Living Legends, he followed this love to Tacoma, WA for college, meeting fellow musicians Johnny Mei and Alex Russo, and finding a home for his lyrics over violin and acoustic guitar instrumentals.
