Kelsey Michael’s songwriting is often inspired by her love for classic singer-60s and 70s piano writers such as Carole King and Laura Nyro. Kelsey plays a lot with genre, adding in folk drones and adventurous melodies to give a contemporary edge. Her new album Lethowsow (an Old Cornish word which was used in reference to The Seven Stones Reef off the Scilly Isles) is fresh out on Anglo/Irish label Dimple Discs.
