The name Jellyfish Brigade comes from two books I was reading at the time. In Ishmael, the gorilla explains the creation myth of mankind by telling a story of a prehistoric jellyfish detailing how the world came to be. In Wind-Up Bird Chronicles, the protagonist’s wife explains to him that jellyfish live in their own world within our world, and that there are many worlds within our world.
