Jazz drummer Jean Martin has been active in Toronto's music scene throughout the '90s. As a member of Chelsea Bridge, he recorded a few albums for the Unity label; he has also worked with D.D. Jackson, and can be heard on the pianist's 1996 trio date, Rhythm-Dance. Martin studied under Adam Nussbaum in N.Y.C., has been a featured soloist in the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and has played in France and all over North America with a number of acclaimed jazz musicians, including Jackson, David Murray, Roddy Ellias, and vocalist Kate Hammet-Vaughn.
