Jacopo Ferrazza was born in 1989. Considered one of the most interesting European double bassists/composers, he began studying guitar at age 8, piano at 12, electric bass at 14 and double bass at 18. He won in 2018 the SIAE award as the best Italian talent and was ranked several times among the best 3 talents by Musica Jazz magazine. He studied bass and double bass with his father Angelo, John Patitucci, Aldo Perris, and Ares Tavolazzi and received his diploma in classical double bass with M° Luca Cola at the conservatory of Frosinone in 2015.
