Jim Dvorak is an American trumpeter and composer recognized for his contributions to jazz and improvisational music. He studied at the Eastman School of Music, earning a Bachelor of Music in 1970, before moving to London, where he joined Keith Tippett's band and later Chris McGregor's Brotherhood of Breath, touring Europe with them until 1975. In 1973, he co-founded the band Joy with Keith Bailey, which released a single album in 1976.
