Lano Places was a Norwegian indie pop band based in Bergen, featuring members from Ålesund and Stavanger. The band initially gained traction performing at academic parties in 1997, later securing a contract with the Stavanger-based indie label CCAP (Checkpoint Charlie Audio Productions). Their debut album, "Everyone Likes to Be Lonely," released in 2001, received acclaim, with the track "Isolation Street" earning a spot on NRK P3's A-list that summer.
