Michalis Hatzigiannis was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. He and his sister Melina are the children of Gannis and Rena, refugees from Kyrenia. Being encouraged by his parents, he started studying music at a young age and this marked the beginning of a great career. After he graduated from London Academy of Music with a degree in piano, guitar and advanced studies in music theory, he began his career first in Cyprus and then in Greece.
