Born Maurice Connolly Jr., Cooly MacLeod grew up in the Philadelphia area. During his formative years, he took a liking to hip hop and began to take up rapping as a hobby. Has the years went on, he started to embrace his West Indian roots and began to implement the “reggae vybz” within his music.
