Influenced by vocalists such as Marianne Faithfull, Suzi Quatro, Edith Piaf and Lucinda Williams, Sascha Ion’s writing and vocal style exists somewhere between roots infused folk and pop-driven bluegrass. With an enduring curiosity to experiment with different collaborators she has formed projects in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Wellington NZ. She formed Red Dirt Radio during a stint living in NZ.
