Marcel (Birth name: Andre Marcel Wilson / Name change: Andre Marcel Ajamu Akinyele) is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 1998, he released ‘The Diary of Marcel’ on his own label Bombay Recording Company and promoted it with the singles “I Like It” and “Strawberry Saturday”. With a new look and sound, in 2001, he was back rockin’ blonde hair twists with the release of ‘Spice : The Alternative Hip-Hop Experience’ and promoted it with the singles “Spice”, “Set Your Body Free”, and “Blame It On The Cocktail”.
