After writing poetry and short stories as a youth, he geared his lyrics towards his rough upbringing and introspective views on life surrounding him. He rapped under the name Ray Deezy, releasing a few singles that gained him notoriety in his hometown creating a buzz that allowed him to gain confidence in pursuing it further.
