Italian percussionist and composer, specialized in Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian and Arab rhythms. He researches a style that merges those traditional musical cultures into contemporary European and Afro-American sounds and grooves. He leads his own project Cesare Pastanella Afrodiaspora, which explores the traces of the African culture present in most of today's music from both sides of the Atlantic.
