Mantis Prayer is a neopsychedelic blues-rock band based in Turin, Italy. Founded in 2019 by guitar player, singer, and songwriter Riccardo “Para” Paracchino, drummer Francesco “Melanza” Iachello, former bassist Pietro Musso and later joined by sound designer and producer Alberto “Kid Mackoy” Redoglia, Mantis Prayer’s music is characterized by a dreamlike sound that feels suspended in time, made of tight rhythms, repeated riffs - mostly influenced by the blues, country, folk, stoner and space-rock genres - and by often whispered, hermetic and melancholic chanting lyrics.
