SCREENPLAY is a female-fronted pop-punk/alternative rock band from Germany’s Ruhr area. Shortly after forming, they started out in band contests but were soon booked for their own shows. In summer 2025, SCREENPLAY hit the festival stages in NRW. As a band in this genre with a female lead vocalist, they are – unsurprisingly – often compared to Paramore and Avril Lavigne.
