In November 2022, after a corporate Halloween party, Asahi Music's founder, Steve Gobin, and one of his colleagues had the idea to create a song about people who destroy everything out of fear of life. Two months later, their collaboration resulted in the experimental rock song, "Fear Of Life," which was released. During that time, Steve and his music partner Markus Wagner signed on Konrad Berger, a German artist who had previously played bass guitar and sung in various live and studio sessions with Markus.
