SKYE is an alternative 5 piece band from Cape Town, South Africa. The idea of SKYE started at the beginning of 2019 through 3 members, all with backgrounds in unique genres (metal, rock, and classical) as an expression of genre fluidity. By the end of 2019 they had become a full band with 2 new members on board and thereafter recorded their debut single. The single 'Jellyfish' was released on the 13 of March 2020 and includes elements of psychedelic, shoegaze, alternative rock. The band is currently working on new ideas which push the boundaries of genre.
