Adam Casey & the Liminal Choir make music inspired by Don Cherry’s 1970s ‘astral jazz’ output and Alice Coltrane’s ‘Journey to Satchidananda’ album, particularly the mesmeric bass playing of Charlie Haden. Their first album, Nether | Aether explores the journey below, and then, the transcendental journey back to earth, and continuing, above it and beyond.
