Masood Shah, abbreviated “sood” is an Afghan-American independent artist living in San Diego, California. During his college years in Flagstaff, Arizona, he began making music in a bedroom closet he transformed into a recording studio. Amongst the trials of an emotionally cold winter, sood was inspired by the lo-fi hip hop sounds, dreamy guitar riffs and soft piano tunes that became his soundtrack to watching snowfall through his bedroom window. sood’s talent for tapping into a variety of styles and curating a uniquely specific aesthetic shines on his debut ep, Downfall.
