The origin of Spiraling Reverb has a strange catalyst: roadkill. In 1991, multi-instrumentalist Monrophonic was preparing to record an album at Midland College Studios. Around this same time, Mike Saum and Mark Bairrington were driving across Texas to visit friends. Lamenting the ruined skunks, rabbits, and armadillos littering the endless blacktop, Mike came up with a simple song to pass the time.
