Penknife, formed by Toronto-based singer-songwriter and traditional folk musician Tegan Boni, began in 2019. The band features long-time collaborator Rob McLay (Squiggly Lines, Westelaken), along with Connor Wooldridge and Ben Fukuzawa (both of Growing Fins). Alchemizing their combined musical influences of folk, slowcore, math rock, and the unnamed niches in between, the four have cultivated a sound that is uniquely modern and timelessly familiar. @penknifesounds
