With a passionate love for the music of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk, Stockholm-based trombonist Johan Åström is one of Sweden’s foremost experts on traditional jazz, with a unique voice of his own. As a leader, he fronts his own Quartet, Trio and Septet, and is one of the founding members of the now-legendary club Lönnkrogen (the Speakeasy), which has brought traditional New Orleans jazz to a young new audience.
