Diata is a singer and songwriter born in Iran and based in Paris. Passionate about blending cultures with a modern touch, she began her career as an underground artist in Iran, rooted in hip-hop and rap, as part of Octave, a well-known band among Iranians. Before her immigration, due to restrictions and risks for artists in Iran, she chose not to use her real name (Parmida) or show her face. In her journey as a solo singer, her sound weaves together Afro pop, R&B, and electronic influences, creating a style that mirrors her personal and life experiences.
