Half Nelson are a Tech/House duo from Sydney. They found their humble beginnings when members Fin McAvoy and Nikos Haropolous-Smallman met in their first year at James Morrison Academy of Music in 2016. Fast-forward a few months and the two are living together, listening to Jamiroquai and producing electronic music between classes. The duo enjoy soulful harmony and melody, like the music of Chet Baker and John Coltrane, but also find musical inspiration elsewhere, from the likes of Frits Wentink, Demarkus Lewis, Byron the Aquarius, and Detroit Swindle.
