The New York based artist, Darren Jay began singing at the age of 16, when he began singing in his church choir. Growing up in the church and singing in the church choir gave Darren his foundation where he would continue finding his voice. Darren is an artist who he would say "doesn't fit into any one genre" and loves to experiment with all different genres of music. He began to make music with SOC ( Soldiers of Christ) as a music group back in 2014, where he began his journey.
