The haunting presence of dark and eerie woods where the unknown spirits of nordic mythology linger mixed with witchburnings and black death is the essence of the first studio album recorded by one-woman band Blacklodge. In her writing she wanted to make her own interpretation of the dark mystique of the north. With inspiration from artists such as Theodor Kittelsen and John Bauer she sets the tone with elements of folk music and classic black metal riffs with a new touch.
