The Afro-Caribbean musical traditions of French Guyana are incorporated into the dance-inspiring music of Cayenne-born and Paris-based singer, songwriter and guitarist, Sylviane Cedia. Although she initially blended a variety of styles, including compas, reggae, mazurka, fox trot, carnaval, soca and cadence, she has increasingly focused on the Zouk tradition.
