Alexander Abreu Manresa is a singer, songwriter, arranger and trumpet player born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, on September 6, 1976. He is one of the most renowned modern Cuban musicians having been active on the island's musical scene since he graduated from Havana's prestigious Escuela Nacional de Arte (National Art School) in 1994. His musical career has seen a fascinating musical fusion of salsa, jazz, funk and afro-Cuban together with his expressive, poetic lyrics about Cuba and the Cuban people.
