Grew up in an odd cauldron of music and circumstances. Church music with my mom. Country and oldies with my dad. Hip-hop & alternative at school. Raised in the hoods of Long Beach, CA - one of the most diverse cities in the US. Listened to everything and everybody. Didn't really start writing my own songs until later.
