Thanasis Vasilas was born in Thessaloniki on August 2, 1973 and grew up in Ioannina. For the last 18 years he collaborated with Mikis Theodorakis as a bouzouki soloist and head of his orchestra. He has collaborated with most Greek singers and composers: Mary Linda, Eleni Vitali, Glykeria, Giannis Parios, Dimitra Galani, Dimitris Basis, Giorgos Mazonakis, Giannis Spanos, Dimitris Papadimitriou et al.
