Self-proclaimed afro-rockers, Electric Safari is a group of musicians hailing from diverse musical backgrounds, brought together by their shared taste for Afrobeat music. Partisans of the DIY way of working, Electric Safari’s first two EPs were recorded in their rehearsal space and self-produced. The first EP Golden Tandoori encapsulates the band’s afrobeat, rock, deep funk and soul influences. Later, the band joined forces with Congolese singer/percussionist Renaud Bilombo with whom they recorded their second EP - Bwenissa.
