Amidst the aggressive sounds of trap and murkiness of emo rap, Triple G’s jazzy beats came as a breath of fresh air in the budding revival of Hong Kong hip hop. As early as 17, Triple G had been inspired by Taiwan’s Soft Lipa and started picking up on the art of diction and song-writing. In 2016, the rapper released his debut album 《淺藍色的號角》 (“The Pale Blue Horn”, translation writer’s own) with producer Canvas under hip hop novelty Wildstyle Records.
