Esteban Alvarez is a pop instrumental pianist from Costa Rica. He is best known for his fusion of several music styles where the piano is the "leading voice". When growing up, Alvarez's musical interests lay with instrumentals of the Pop, Jazz and World Music genres. At the age of 16 he decided to focus on the piano as a soloist rather than keyboards and synthesizers. He entered college in San Jose as a Physics major, while pursuing a music career simultaneously.
