The band was formed in 2014 in Szczecin. They made their debut with the album "Leon" in 2016 (listed in the TOP TEN jazz albums by PolishJazz journalists). In 2018, they recorded the music for the film "Zamoyski," and in the Jazz Forum 2018 readers' poll, The Beat Freaks ranked in the top ten electric jazz bands and in the category of "Band - New Hope." In 2019, their album "Stay Calm" was released.
