Hailing from New York City, twenty-three-year-old Erika Leah has always been fascinated by music, crawling towards her grandmother’s piano every morning when she was just a baby. She began playing piano at the age of five, continuing her classical training all the way until twelve, when she switched to jazz. With jazz as a new musical outlet, Leah started to compose her own music using the improvisational skills that this new medium fostered.
