Italian-based Pro Patria was founded in 1988 by keyboard virtuoso Peter V. (aka PVC) and quickly evolved into a dark EBM style. After having released a number of successful demos, the band signed with the German Celtic Circle Records and produced their first full CD "Quod Erat Demonstrandum" and the accompanying "Hard Times" maxi in 1997. Unfortunately C.C. faced bankruptcy when the CDs were about to be released and the band remained empty-handed.
