Born in Washington Heights, Uptown Manhattan, music producer and songwriter Dominante is known for being a shapeshifter, his sounds heavily influenced and inspired by the different places he’s lived; New York City, Santo Domingo, and Miami. His father, Carlos David, is a well-known 80s merengue singer. At the age of 11, Dominante was the lead vocalist of Grupo Kolao.
