Witness Protection Programme are a noisy post-punk band from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Six bleary-eyed twenty-somethings formed the band in the summer of 2019 - a social and musical bond serving as an unrestrictive outlet for their chaos and misery. Drawing inspiration from 80s goth, post-punk and later post-hardcore music, their songs convey a morbid despair coated in tongue-in-cheek cynicism. The band's energy is melancholic and abrasive in equal measure. They released their first single, 'On My List' in August 2020. On 5th August 2021 they released their debut EP ' Long Week...
