Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Dub struggled with making the right choices vs giving in to the temptations of the streets. Living in Henry Horner projects without a father, who had left when Dub was 2 years old, Dub became unaware of his talents and abilities. At 17 years old Dub's mother moved him to Montgomery, IL ( a Chicago suburb) where he realized his potential. Taking his interest in music to the next level Dub became aware he had a special talent with manipulating words and putting together clever metaphors and phrases.
