The Fergus Quill Trio is an ensemble based in Leeds who are led by the inimitable Fergus Quill (Ferg’s Imaginary Big Band, Fergus Quill’s Electric Noise Ensemble, Skwid Ink etc…) and inspired by the whole range of 20th, 21st and 22nd century improvised music: from Jelly Roll Morton to Pharoah Sanders to Derek Bailey. Their second album ‘¡Blamo!’ is out 11.11.22 on Tight Lines Records and is homage to the Spaghetti Westerns of the 60s and 70s and the music of the almighty ‘Ennio Morricone’.
