Deep Roots was raised in a musical family with uncles who ran sound systems. His early musical influences were Reggae and Funk. Electro was his first true love, but he soon found himself at the core of the Jungle/Drum n’ Bass scenes during their golden era. He was sound engineer on tracks for labels including Labello Blanco, No Smoking and Audio Maze under the moniker Cool Breeze, then later working with the likes of No U Turn, Moving Shadow and Bad Company Recordings.
