Peruvian artist M. Caye Castagnetto bends murky samples around elastic rhythms, landing on a sound that's distant and strange, but still generates a surreal warmth. Castagnetto worked for over five years on the material that became their 2021 debut, Leap Second. Castagnetto was born in Peru, but split time in their adult life between residences in California, London, and Lima.
