Max Zenger (Finland, 1988) is a saxophonist and woodwind specialist who plays in various groups as a leader and sideman. He is comfortable playing and writing music in a variety of settings. Zenger’s style fuses elements from old and new jazz, influences of world music and adventurous improvisation. Zenger’s music has been described as “melodic”, “international”, and “at the top of the new generation in Finnish jazz”. In 2017, Zenger was awarded Pori Jazz Festival’s Talent of the Year prize.
