Afara Tsena Fukushima, whose real name is Raphael Owary Houssene, hails from Congo-Brazzaville, and is one of the leading songwriters and artists on the African music scene. Right from the start, he fused traditional Congolese sounds with coupé-décalé and ndombolo to create a unique style: Afro-Mbokalisation.
