OBSIDIANE is a modern jazz/hip-hop/broken beat trio based in Lyon, France. Based on the tradition of heavy-sound rhythm sections such as the ones of McCoy Tyner, Herbie, Eric Lewis, Joey Calderazzo, the band strays forward a modern, hip-hop, cutting-edge identity. The main objective is the rhythmic connexion between the musicians, as we believe it's the key to achieve musical expressivity and fun. One EP is already out and some more music is on the go.
