Jay Post & Jimmi Gordon, Southside Chicago natives, first connected in high school through their shared love for poetry at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep. Jimmi, a multi-instrumentalist, and Jay, a poet from a young age, formed the duo OutPastMidnight in 2019. Before rapping, they made a name for themselves in the poetry scene, winning the Louder Than a Bomb competition.
