Hicci (hee-chee) got his name from a hickey. One day, he walked into class with a fresh mark on his neck, and it was all jokes from there—“Hickey Boy,” then “Hicciboi,” then “Lil Hicci.” Now, it’s just Hicci. Born and raised in Abu Dhabi, he grew up listening to Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, The Fray—playing the guitar was his only thing. He moved to the Philippines for college at Ateneo, tried to join the music org, but got rejected (crazy). That’s when his boy John told him to try making beats.
