The collective is made up of several local recording artists; @directs, @tdot and @mrsupreme. who decided to come together to create TRUENT and distribute thier music through the TRUENT label. TRUENT was formed in 2017 as the group felt there was a big gap in the market when it came to conscious and uplifting music, as this is something that the individuals naturally perform it was a no brainer when it came to forming TRUENT.
