I am Wayen, a Singer, Rapper and Songwriter originally from DR Congo, currently based in Cape Town, South Africa. I sing and rap in English, French and Lingala. I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not learned at school. I went on to study through practical experiences, learning through trials, errors and self discoveries. About the music, firstly I was influenced by the big brothers I was living with in 2003, they used to play hip-hop music a lot.
